《青春啦啦隊》導演楊力州花了超過一年時間住在甲仙，拍出這部他自稱創作生涯中最複雜的作品。在這個飽受八八風災摧殘的山中小鎮，孩子們努力為拔河隊爭取榮譽，試圖喚回被摧折後的信心與勇氣；媽媽們則用一道道異國美食，凝聚留在故鄉打拚的堅實力量。被颱風沖垮的甲仙大橋，不到一年時間 就修復成亮麗新景；但甲仙人心中的痛，卻不知何
時才能真正撫平。這部新作不僅記錄了他們努力奮起的心路歷程，也拍下這些新娘媽媽們生命中第一次的婚紗照片。

After The Long Goodbye and Young at Heart: Grandma Cheerleader, famed documentary director Yang Li-Chou enters Jiasian, a township in Kaohsiung devastated by Typhoon Morakot in 2009, to investigate the reconstruction process and capture the resilient residents who endeavor to redeem their pride and sense of community after the traumatic disaster. Kids try to win the championship in a tug of war tournament; mothers cook home-made cuisines to replenish the weary souls. Public constructions can be rebuilt in months, but the restoration of people’s hearts still takes a long way to go.
