17歲庫德族少女小琴從游擊隊叛逃，一路上揹著槍枝穿越暗夜叢林，躲避政府軍和自己的同夥。她編造理由搭便車遠行，徒手面對意圖強暴的工頭，一路上險象環生，最終在同樣患難的動物間得到溫暖。旅途上無止盡的凶險中，野獸們似乎是她那渺小存在的唯一見證。導演刻畫人與萬物間的交流慰藉，以充滿神性的寫實凝視開創獨特的電影語言，驚豔國際。

Jîn is a 17-year-old guerrilla warrior determined to survive no matter what it takes. To this end, she finds herself battling her way bravely through dark forests. Throughout her struggling journey where she tries to overcome all the atrocities around her, it seems that the animals she comes across are the only and holy witnesses of her existence.
