奇士勞斯基最早的電視電影長片，描寫一名劇場幕後人員的藝術夢想，因涉及政治事件而變得曖昧不清。鏡頭穿梭在舞台前後、扮演與非扮演之間，素樸而成熟地展現紀錄片與劇情片相互交融的虛實美學。本片被視為奇氏的自傳性作品，其自華沙學院劇場技術系畢業後的際遇，與片中主角多有相似之處。在大師辭世多年後，能親睹這部最早奇氏作品的機會難得，錯過不再！

One of Kieślowski's earliest films. Romek, an idealistc 19-year-old boy, takes a job as a tailor in the costume department of a Warsaw theater company where his new colleague, Sowa, is pressured to make a costume for an overbearing soloist named Siedlecki, who does not like the final result and takes his problems on Sowa and Romek who defends him.
