罹癌的老殺手桑托買了嗎啡，逃離醫院。為了錢，他接下殺人任務，但失敗了。他開著車穿越阿根廷，在加油站撿到一名神祕的中年女子，無目的的兩人於是同行，互相照顧，老先生總想瞄一瞄她的胴體。他們像旅行，又像逃亡，車子一路向南，竟然不知不覺到了女人那一直想逃避的家⋯⋯。峰迴路轉又驚喜連連的黑色喜劇，看似絕望，卻又豁達，是一部充滿著生命力與南美風情的另類公路電影。

This film is the story of a hitman who does not kill. A Spaniard in Buenos Aires realizes one day that he is dying. He runs away from the hospital and sets off on an escape towards the north across Argentina, heading nowhere in particular. This future dead man calmly moves forward on the road, and comes across with a woman who will be his loyal companion along five thousand kilometers of black comedy.
