看似灑狗血的劇情，也可以另闢蹊徑、不落俗套。個性強勢的寶莉入住新居，原以為萬事美好，不料平日懦弱的丈夫竟有了小三，向她提出離婚，她一怒下向警方告發，間接將丈夫逼上絕路。深受打擊的她決心撐起家庭重擔，誰知兒子長大後竟對她心懷怨恨⋯⋯。曾入圍台北電影節國青競賽的王競，將一齣通俗劇拍得鏗鏘有力；女主角顏丙燕演技超凡，得獎連連。

When a working class family moves into a highrise, their lives begin to fall apart. In this scathing family drama, the struggling life of a status-obsessed woman illustrates the high price of the pursuit of happiness. This film tackles interpersonal drama head-on with a study of a tormented woman set during China's economic rise in the 1990s.
