便衣警察克瑪即將除役，每天低調巡邏，算著距離退休的日子，直到一個音樂家的自殺，使他想起他刑求罪犯的不堪過去。死去的音樂家面目全非，克瑪近乎著迷，欲拼湊出死者生前的模樣，他連繫所有的線民，找到死者從娼的女兒，越陷越深，最後遠走他鄉……。烏絲達奧古一鳴驚人處女作，場面調度師承黑色電影，順利征戰當年各大國際影展，佳評如潮。

Superintendent Kemal, who has been depressed by the suicide of a musician Cezmi Kara recalls the tortures he had done to the criminals. As Kara’s face is disfigured, Kemal has the opportunity to assume someone else’s identity. However, he is still haunted by his past. This is a film about a man’s conflicted inner world and his terrible past.
